Assignment of the week: First Chapter of "Sage"
In these first 50 pages we get to meet out two main characters.
Sage, a 25 year old, who at a terrible time when she lost her father, the only thing that she was capable of doing was to bake. When her mother died, Sage was left with a scar. And with her love of baking, she was found a job at a bakery, baking breads during the night where she could get lost in the baking.
We also met Josef, the "cuddly grandfather" of the town. Josef has lived in town with his wife for more than four decades. With grief in common, Josef begins to confide in Sage.
What did you think about Sage's story?
